Ladystairs is a second floor apartment in a listed building on the Lawnmarket (the top section of the famous Royal Mile) and is approximately 150metres from Edinburgh Castle. This self-catering apartment is furnished and decorated to a very high standard to make your stay in Edinburgh as comfortable as possible.
The apartment is a pleasant walk to many other major Edinburgh attractions such as the Royal Scottish Museum and the National Gallery of Scotland. There is also a copious amount of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops in the immediate area. It is owned by Murray Bremner & Glenn Ford (The Principle) and managed by Edinburgh SC (Self Catering) Ltd on their behalf.
LOUNGE/KITCHEN ROOM
This combined lounge/kitchen area has been completely equipped to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It contains a sofa bed (which converts to a double bed) and a dining table suitable for three guests. A suitably equipped room with some smaller items of furniture and lighting features create a wonderful ambience in the room. A widescreen TV is available for entertainment. Guests who have a laptop can also enjoy a free broadband connection either through the supplied cable or by wifi. There is a fantastic bay window to give you a superb view of the Royal Mile.
The kitchen area is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, electric oven & hob, microwave oven, washer/dryer and cutlery & crockery for up to four people.
BEDROOM
This is a lovely double bedroom with a bay window with a wonderful view of the Royal Mile. A kingsize double bed with two bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a hanging area provide ample storage space for your possessions.
SHOWER ROOM
Instant electric shower, wc and basin, plus a shaver point.

* The airport bus drop off point and main railway station are 5 minutes walk.
Restrictions
* Non smoking throughout property, including at open windows.
* No pets
* We regret that this 2nd floor flat will be unsuitable for some people with disabilities as there are only stairs.
* No lift is available.
* Strictly no parties - Guests must be quiet between 21:00 and 08:00 to respect neighbouring properties.
Access Arrangements
A "meet and greet" service is operated , whereby you will be met at a property at a pre-arranged time to give access. Full instructions of this procedure can be found in the secure guest area after a booking has been completed. It is very important that an approximate arrival time is provided before arrival for this process. Entry is from 14:00 onwards but if nobody has booked to depart on your day of arrival it will probably be very suitable for us to give you entry as early as possible. Departure is by 10am (a guaranteed late departure up to 20:00 can be obtained for 50% of that daily rate. Please contact us if you want to utilise this facility and a price will be calculated).
Please note that arrivals after 19:00 will incur a range of late arrival fee.
**LATE ARRIVAL: fees, 19:00 - 22:30 - 15 pounds, 22:31 - 00:00 - 30 pounds and 00:01 - 02:00 - 50 pounds. The latest access can be given is 02:00, otherwise it is given at 08:00 the next day. ESC accept no liability for any costs involved in alternative accommodation for this 6 hour period.
A deposit of 25% is payable on booking and the outstanding balance of the rental price must be received 2 months prior to your arrival date. For bookings made less than eight weeks before your arrival date the whole rental price falls payable at the time of booking. Please note that a separate 200 pounds refundable key/security deposit must be provided prior to arrival. This is rescinded 5 days after departure.
Sleeping arrangements one kingsize double in the bedroom and a sofabed in the lounge (please advise if required if there are only two guests)
Exterior Property is in a listed building on the famous Royal Mile which is a UNESCO world heritage site.
Parking notes street parking is enforced 7 days a week 08:00 - 18:30 Mon - Sat, 12:30 - 18:30 Sunday, it is very expensive and inflexible as you can only stay in one spot for a few hours.
There are many city centre car parks to choose from, you can use these for a short time or full days which cost approx 16 - 25 pounds or more or enter the postcode of the property you have booked into this website http://www.parkopedia.co.uk/

Very nice and cosy apartment. 2 little rooms that are perfectly enough pour 2 people. The bedroom is especially sweet. Regarding the location, it's hard to be more central, with a view on the main street of Edinburgh, Royal Mile. However, it is very quiet. We slept very well thanks to thick curtains and a comfortable bed. I recommend this flat if you want to spend a few days in Edinburgh.

Ideal location for arriving and departing via Waverley. Plenty happening on Royal Mile but up on 2nd floor noise isn't an issue. Handy for a wide range of eating options, Vittoria on GIV Bridge and Steak&Mussel in Grassmarket are particularly good. Property is not huge but much bigger than a hotel room for similar cost - lounge seating is comfy and bed is good. Great for two people - wouldn't fancy four!

The apartment was lovely and its location was excellent - within walking distance to a number of major attractions and public transport. We stayed with four people which was a bit squishy but not uncomfortable.
