When will my security deposit be refunded?
For guests that book a property managed by Reserve, the security deposit will be refunded by our automated system. We only intercept this if damage has been caused to the property. The deposit is released automatically within 5 days of departure, to give our cleaning and property management team the time required to check the property.
After the payment is sent, some refunds can take 5-10 business days to appear in your bank account. Unfortunately, this is down to the banks that are processing the payments and it's not something we have control over.
For properties not managed by Reserve, the damage deposit is processed directly by the property manager as quickly as possible.
