Help & FAQs for owners
Should I provide wifi?
Wifi is one of the number one items used to filter properties when using our website. So, for those properties that don't feature wifi, you'll be missing a large volume of potential guests.
Why is wifi so important?
The reality is that the world today is hooked on the Internet. For some, it's essential to stay in touch with work (whilst on a business trip, or whilst on holiday), whereas for others, it's important to stay in touch with friends and family. Remember, many of our guests are travelling from abroad, and having a good connection to people back home can be very important.
For many, it's a luxury they wouldn't like to live without. Especially when travelling, you'll want the opportunity to use the web to find great places nearby to visit, eat and drink. And you'll also want an easy way to share your experiences with friends and family through social media.
Is wifi really that important to guests?
In a recent survey, being charged for wifi (so not even a lack of wifi) was one of the most common complaints guests had.
A recent American Express survey showed that, during their holiday, 83% of guests plan to stay connected and nearly two thirds (64%) of those expect to check their work email daily. The survey also revealed that nearly 40% of guests use their smartphone for navigation, local deals, and planning experiences during their trips, while 50% are referencing the internet to do the same.
A recent survey of 53,000 hotel guests by Forrester Research found that wifi access ranked higher than any other extra (including complimentary breakfast and free parking).
Why should I get wifi?
The bottom line is that we strongly believe wifi will get you more bookings, at better prices, thus easily providing you with a return on the investment of the set-up and monthly costs of wifi.
