Help & FAQs for owners
Cancelling a booking
Keeping cancellations to an absolute minimum is incredibly important.
Cancelling bookings can cause numerous problems for guests, is damaging to our reputation and, at the very least, involves additional time to be spent sourcing alternative accommodation by both the guest and the team at Reserve Apartments. For us, this then also has a direct impact on our administration costs and takes us away from spending time achieving more bookings for property owners.
What should I do if I need to cancel a booking?
- Inform us immediately of the cancellation by emailing
This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . - Do not contact the guest. We will contact them and provide alternative accommodation.
What are the cancellation charges?
For bookings made via the Reserve Apartments website, the cancellation charge is the original booking commission and will be applied to your next statement. If the alternative property is more expensive we will also charge you for the price difference.
For cancellations of bookings made via Booking.com, there may be relocation fees, as their Customer Service team will seek to find alternative accommodation for the guest.
Airbnb cancellations may not have a charge if the cancellation falls under their Extenuating Circumstances policy.
Cancellations of Trip Advisor bookings however will always result in a £150 cancellation fee.
What if I wish to dispute the cancellation charge?
