For many people, Halloween is one of the most exciting festivals on the calendar, and Glasgow has no shortage of events to ensure this year's celebration is truly memorable. Whether you are a parent looking for creative ways to entertain the kids, or you’re simply looking for a first-class night out, the city is sure to have something to offer.
Below, you will find a list of some of Glasgow's biggest Halloween events for 2015.
Presented by Scare Scotland and hosted by the Drygate Brewery Company, the Monsquerade Ball will offer dancing, live entertainment, cocktails and craft beer brewed on-site. Described as "Pride and Prejudice meets Evil Dead", the event is a unique twist on the masquerade ball concept and a great way to get into the Halloween spirit.

Thinking of visiting a haunted house this Halloween? Why not try this multi-room escape event, designed for groups of 2 to 5 players. Each game lasts for around 45 minutes, takes place in the dark and features a number of thrilling special effects. As a result, it may cause a scare and is not recommended for younger children.

Halloween Fright Night
The Halloween Fright Night, held at the Glasgow Science Centre, will provide a party atmosphere suitable for the whole family. From a fancy dress competition, to a zombie-themed walk through experience and even a live autopsy, there should be no shortage of frights and gruesome fun for all ages.

Hamlet vs. Zombies
For a truly unique Halloween offering, look no further than this horror adaptation of William Shakespeare's famous play, which is being staged by Bugsy Productions at the Old Hairdresser's in the city centre. The new monarch, King Claudius, has unleashed a virus upon Denmark and it is up to Hamlet to put an end to the outbreak.

strEATery: Spook Feast
The street food festival strEATery returns to Glasgow this October at The Briggait, complete with an expanded site and an even bigger selection of food traders. Enjoy authentic street cuisine from all over the world, including India, Mexico and Japan, all alongside costume making, face painting and other Halloween-inspired entertainment.

Entry is completely free for this storytelling evening, which is ideal for families with younger children. Four artists will introduce you to a host of scary characters and take you on a terrifying fictional adventure. Halloween costumes are mandatory and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

The fancy dress theme for this Halloween clubbing experience at The Rum Shack is extinction, endangered species and all things apocalyptic. The Apocalypso team have paired up with Lost Map Records, meaning there will be live performances from the likes of Our Ladies of Sorrow, Kate Canaveral, Monoganon and Sharptooth along the way.
