Scotland is one of the best places to visit at any time of the year and Edinburgh is one of the most popular destinations in the country for good reason. Our capital is always packed with plenty to see and do and this Easter is no ‘egg-ception’ with plenty of themes, events and activities alongside the usual offerings.
Easter Egg Hunt at the Georgian House
19th April to 22nd April
The Georgian House is hosting a special Easter Egg hunt for the whole family. The event has been specially designed to feature the sights of early spring and nature-themed clues will be left by the Easter bunny. Only those who are able to become proper nature detectives will finish the day with a yummy chocolate treat.
30th March to 13th April
This family-oriented event is taking place in the Almond Valley Heritage Centre in Livingston, near Edinburgh. Spring is a time of new life and this has been designed as a meet and encounter session so that children can gain some first-hand experience with various baby animals. As well as meeting ducklings, lambs and other cute and cuddly creatures there will be an opportunity to win some prizes by collecting clues and looking for eggs on the springtime trail. There is also a dedicated crafting section where you can learn to make bonnets and other themed decorations. During the Easter weekend, a special plastic duck race will take place along the mill lade.
Family Easter Bunny Breakfast at Dobbies Edinburgh

The activity comprises of a traditional, freshly-cooked hot meal before the kids get to spend time making a variety of Easter-themed crafts. They will also have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny and will get to take home their very only Lindt chocolate rabbit to be enjoyed later if they can resist the temptation that long! There is going to be a fancy-dress competition with prizes for the children who turn up in the best, themed outfits.
