North Berwick packs a remarkable amount into a small town. The famous West Beach and East Beach are both within easy walking distance of the town centre, and the striking volcanic outcrop of the Bass Rock (home to one of the world's largest colonies of northern gannets) is visible from almost everywhere you stay.
