A picture perfect 2 bedroom cottage boasting some of the best waterfront views this coastline has to offer.
Fully equipped kitchen and dining area with amazing views. Two living spaces to choose, with beautiful quality furnishings, large comfy sofa, a fireside reading chair alongside a log burning stove.
The spacious open-plan living room is the perfect place to curl up and relax in front of the stove whilst reading a book with a glass of wine or simply watching the TV. The living room then leads out to a slightly smaller lounge, with views to the courtyard garden with an additional TV and sofa. On from here is a small sunroom that leads onto the sheltered courtyard patio. It is impossible to not feel chilled and relaxed in this cosy little cottage.
Create home-like meals in the open kitchen area with an oven and hob, fridge and cooking utensils with a dining table that seats four located at the end of the kitchen. Perfect for a family dinner and a get together meal with friends.
Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG, the digital insurance trust platform that enables hosts and guests to confidently transact in the short-term holiday rental space. Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify your identity. If you want to take advantage of this free insurance, please make sure your verification is completed prior to check-in.
Alternatively, if you prefer, you can opt to pay a £200 damage deposit 7 days directly with us before arrival. Your deposit will be held during your stay and refunded 5 days after departure, subject to an inspection of the property.
Please also note complimentary mid stay cleans (including the provision of fresh linen and towels) will be provided as follows:
Bookings for 14-21 nights will receive one mid stay clean
Bookings for 21-28 nights will receive two mid stay cleans

If the party has more than 1 car they will need to be parked back on the main road. Please do not drive or park up the lane to the left of the property as this is privately owned.

Local area Aberlady is a pretty village on the East Lothian coast offering a pub and restaurants all in easy walking distance from the cottage. The cottage is perfectly located, right at the edge of the bay to take advantage of the amazing walks on your doorstep, and if you have a furry friend that will enjoy those walks as much as you, you will be delighted to hear that Dogs are also welcome at Cockleshell Cottage. Please just add them in the booking extras section.
It lies on the coastal road from Edinburgh as it winds its way along the picturesque East Lothian coast. In prime golf country, Aberlady boasts the excellent Kilspindie links course, while a landscape of fairways and greens stretches east to Gullane and beyond.
The shore here is a nationally important refuge for thousands of geese in the autumn. They are an incredible spectacle as they fly in to roost on the mudflats. Marshes, beach and the rocky coast of the Firth of Forth under a big sky makes for an impressive setting.
