Summerside Cottage is a perfect holiday cottage for a family or couple located in the charming seaside village of Gullane. The property comes with its own parking, secure garden and is all on the ground floor. Gullane boasts fabulous local independent shops and restaurants which are all within a 5 minutes' walk, as well as world famous golf courses and gorgeous sandy beaches. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a coastal retreat or golfing break in East Lothian.

The surrounding area boasts an abundance of stunning beaches and pretty farmland. Although less than an hour from Edinburgh, the pace of life is very different. There are lots of pretty towns and villages, with a great choice of gastro pubs, restaurants and quirky independent shops and galleries, offering everything from original art to handmade chocolate! There is a huge choice of things to do, including popular destinations such as The Scottish Seabird Centre, The National Museum of Flight, Tantallon or Dirleton Castle and Gardens and of course, a day trip to the beautiful capital of Scotland.

Sitting room:
The sitting room is furnished with sofas and TV. There are also French doors leading straight out to the private garden.

Kitchen:
The kitchen is fully equipped with a hob and electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and everything else you will need for your self catering or golfing holiday. There is a dining table with seating for four.

Bathrooms:
Full family bathroom with bath, shower above the bath and WC.

Outside:
There is a lovely private patio garden with table and chairs provided for you to enjoy the summer weather. The garden is completely secure and accessed from the sitting room French doors. There is also a secure shed which can store bicycles or golf bags and trolleys.

Parking
There is a private parking space for one small car. The lane leading to the cottage is quite narrow, so you may wish to park on Saltcoats Road, just around the corner. The parking is free and unrestricted. The parking on the Main Street is restricted to 40 minutes.

Directions: Summerside Cottage is located just behind the Main Street. Driving into Gullane on the A198 from the Edinburgh side, the cottage is on the right hand side, in between Temple Lane and Saltcoats Road. In between those two roads, there is a lane which leads to the property.

Suitability:
This cottage is perfectly located for the family self catering holiday with your pet. The property has great walks from the door and is in an easy location for the Gullane beach and Main Street shops. If you are a golfer this property will suit all your needs as Summerside Cottage is right on the doorstep of 5 international golf courses in the village and easy driving distance to any of the top 16 golf courses along the coast line and in the East Lothian area.

Nearby attractions:
If you are on a walking holiday, there are plenty of walks to choose from, including the John Muir Way.
Tantallon Castle and Dirleton Castle are both interesting and worth a visit.
The National Museum of flight is a short drive away.
The Scottish Bird Centre in North Berwick or Aberlady Bay and Nature Reserve for those wishing to bird watch. (Please note: dogs are not allowed on the Nature Reserve.)

General:
Central heating, electricity, WiFi, bed linen, and towels are all included in the rental. If you would like to bring a dog, there is a small charge of £30.00 per dog per booking with a maximum of 2 dogs.

Also provided is an iron, ironing board, high chair and a travel cot (cot blankets are not provided).

To make a booking you can book directly through this site. All you need to do is select your dates and the number of guests. The price will be calculated for you . You are required to pay a 20% deposit payment with a minimum payment of £150.00 or higher which secures the property, this payment is non refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £150.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart
