Two bedrooms, one double and one single, ensure a peaceful night’s rest and both benefit from plentiful guest storage. There’s a fold out bed for a fourth guest which can be set up in either the single room, double room or living room. Luxury continues in the chic family shower room, completing this simply wonderful home from home.

The Cumberland Residence benefits from a fabulously central location in a residential Georgian street that perfectly demonstrates the New Town grand design. The location enjoys all the perks of city centre living, just a few minutes’ stroll from Broughton Street and Canonmills, both with great selections of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as familiar brands. A large Tesco is just around the corner.

The Dean Village and Stockbridge, two of Edinburgh's best loved areas, are just around the corner and perfect for a lazy Sunday brunch or spot of people watching. Shopaholics are in luck as upmarket shopping street Multrees Walk – think Louis Vuitton and Harvey Nichols – is just a hop, skip and a jump away, as well as retail havens John Lewis, George Street and Princes Street.

When it's time for something a little more touristic, all of Edinburgh's main attractions are in easy reach. Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse and The Old Town are walkable in 30 minutes, and frequent bus services depart from just the local area with destinations such as Royal Yacht Britannia and Rosslyn Chapel.

A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 21:00 will incur a late fee of £30 for unsociable hours. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

A refundable security deposit of £200 is payable 7 days prior to arrival, incase of any breakages or damages. This security deposit will be refunded within 5 days of departure.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

Please note, if you require the fold out bed to be made up and have not booked for the maximum number of guest, there will be an additional charge

Sleeping arrangements 1 double bedroom and 1 single bedroom. There is also a fold down bed for a 4th guest which can be set up in either the single room, double room or living room.

Parking notes This property doesn't come with free parking but there is limited paid street parking in local area for an additional fee.

I was well looked after when there was a problem with my original booking.. alternative accommodation was found for me


Very convenient location and nice accommodation with a full kitchen with everything that you need

Appartement propre, spacieux et bien situé.
Un peu froid lorsque nous sommes arrivé car les radiateurs étaient éteints.

The apartment looks nicer in the pictures than once there.

Cleaning was really bad, under the bed, toilet, extractor fans....this was reported and even though the agent was very prompt on his replies no action was taken or even asking if they could re-attend ( pictures were sent)


easy to book however the damage deposit refund was not processed on the departure date but only 3 days later

In terms of the damage deposit, it is stated that the refund is processed within 5 working days of departure and is processed through an automated system - this is to allow the cleaning team time to thoroughly clean the property and to take account of any damage sustained, and provide a price of repair/replacement. Thereon, depending on your bank, it may take up to 3 days to appear in your account and unfortunately we do not have control over this. Despite this, we hope you could enjoy your time in Edinburgh.
