Merchant’s Apartment is a stylish, contemporary apartment located on the fringe of bustling Glasgow City Centre and on the edge of the popular Merchant City. Sleeping up to six guests, the spacious two bed apartment enjoys FREE high speed, fibre optic WiFI throughout and is well equipped and decorated to a high standard in contemporary colours. Merchant’s Apartment is situated on the second floor with lift access. It’s location and layout make it ideal for business or pleasure.
The apartment boasts a well-equipped open plan kitchen/dining area with adjoining living area. After a busy day enjoying yourself or working, the lounge offers you the opportunity to relax in comfort in either of the two sofas one of which doubles as a bed. Once you’re settled, you can watch your favourite shows or films on our 40-inch, high definition, smart TV which offers Sky TV as well as streaming services such as Netflix, You Tube etc. And if you don’t fancy sampling any of the area’s many celebrated restaurants, you can rustle up something tasty in the well-equipped kitchen which is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher.
Just down the hallway, the master bedroom is decorated in soothing, contemporary shades, and benefits from an en suite shower room. The bedroom offer flexibility, featuring zip and link beds, allowing either a double or twin bed set up. The second bedroom is again decorated in calming contemporary colours and benefits from a comfortable double bed. A family bathroom with a thermostatic shower over the bath completes the layout.
The apartment is a few minute’s walk from the vibrant Merchant City, an area redolent of Glasgow’s historic trading past and packed with chic bars and restaurants not to mention designer shops

There is limited mobility access as the property is on the second floor but can be accessed by lift. There are a few steps up to to the lift on the ground floor.

Interior layout On entering the property you walk into the hallway immediately on the left is the twin/double en suite bedroom. The en suite benefits from a shower,toilet, sink and heated towel rail. This spacious room boasts a built in wardrobe. Next on the left is the main bathroom with shower. Across the hallway on the right is the double bedroom. At the far end of the hallway is the entrance to the attractive lounge area with smart TV and the well-equipped, open plan kitchen/dining area

Local area The apartment is centrally located on the edge of Glasgow's vibrant Merchant City which boasts some of the city's chicest bars and restaurants. A two minute walk will bring you into the heart of the Merchant City social scene. A favourite of ours is McChuills a popular pub and live music venue which serves good pub grub, a wide range of beers and showcases some of the city's leading bands.
For families visiting their student offspring, one of Glasgow's two leading universities Strathclyde University is right on the doorstep while Glasgow University in the city's West End is just a short taxi ride/bus journey away.
If sport is more your scene, then the Emirates sports stadium, home of the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome(cycle track) is a short car/bus/taxi journey away. The Commonwealth swimming pool at Tollcross is also nearby. For football fans, Celtic Park, the home of one of Glasgow's most famous clubs is a 10 minute cab ride away.
If history and culture is your preference, then The Merchant's Apartment is set on the edge of the most historic part of the city, literally where it all began for Glasgow. The medieval 12th century Glasgow Cathedral is a few minutes walk away and just opposite is the oldest house in Glasgow, Provand's Lordship built in 1471 and known locally as the ' Auld Hoose'.
The ever popular Tron Theatre which showcases a wide variety of productions is a popular haunt for the city's theatrical buffs. It's again just a few minutes walk from the apartment.
For lovers of the great outdoors, the famous Clyde Walkway is just a few minutes walk away. The 45 mile/60km long route takes you from the bustling middle of the city and passes through some of the country's most spectacular and tranquil countryside ending at the scenic Falls of Clyde at historic New Lanark.
