The Lochend Park View Residence No. 2 is a delightful home from home in a leafy area of Edinburgh. Benefitting from a lift, private balcony and free parking, this bright and spacious apartment enjoys spectacular views of Lochend Loch and Arthur's Seat.

The apartment is located in a quiet cul-de-sac two miles from the city centre and close to the local amenities on offer on Easter Road and Leith Walk. There is a huge cosmopolitan variety of small local retailers, cafes and restaurants. A Tesco and Sainsburys supermarkets are nearby as well as a Marks and Spencers Food Hall and 24 Hour Asda.

Close at hand Ocean Terminal, Meadowbank Retail Park, St. James Centre and Princes Street offer further high street retailers and specialist shopping. The area is very well served by local buses with regular links to the City and surrounding areas. Meadowbank Sports Centre, the Omni Centre and the cities cinemas, theatres and galleries are just a short distance away.

The open plan living room has a French door to the balcony, with tranquil views to Lochend parkland. Sitting here is a joy on a sunny morning. The kitchen is fully fitted with integrated oven & hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher & washing machine. There is also a dining table with chairs, offering plenty of room for a variety of dining arrangements.

Wireless internet access and a flat screen TV & DVD player are also provided for guests use.

The master bedroom features a double bed and an en-suite with WC, wash basin and shower. The second bedroom can be configured as a twin bedroom with 2 x single beds or with a double bed.

A stylish tiled family bathroom with 3 piece suite and shower complete the accommodation.

The apartment is accessed via a secure entry system and is on the 6th floor with lift access available.

A meet and greet service is provided, whereby you will be met at the property to be provided with keys and to be shown the property. Please arrange your arrival with the property manager.

Entry to the apartment is from 16:00 onwards; however, please note that arrivals after 21:00 will incur a late fee of £30 for unsociable hours. Earlier entry can perhaps be arranged but depends if there is a departure at your chosen apartment that day. This can be confirmed within 48 hours of arrival. If you are arriving earlier than 16:00 on your day of arrival, it is always worth contacting the property manager as they will always endeavour to give you access as soon as possible. You may be able to arrive early and leave luggage and come back however this is not guaranteed.

The latest departure time is 11:00, however, a guaranteed later departure (up to 20:00) can be arranged for a fee of 50% of the daily rate for that day but please note this is subject to no existing booking arriving that day already.

Reservation was quick and easy. The only negative was reservation changes are not allowed and cancellations are non refundable.


Location was excellent during the festival. Close enough to reach venues shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions on foot, but quiet enough to get a good night's rest. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. The only negative was the horrible smell of a broken sewer pipe within the building. Upon check-in they said it would be fixed within a couple days, but it lasted the entire length of my stay. It was putrid and nauseating. They offered no compensation for this issue. We had no where else to stay.

The pipe was a problem with the building, it was confined to communal areas and was out of our control. The problem has now been resolved.

The property manager did speak with you the day after arrival to sort a few minor issues, there was no further mention of the smell and we were not aware of any request for compensation.
