We didn't realise how centrally located this apartment was when booking, it is between the castle and St Giles so it couldn't be in a better spot! The apartment itself was immaculate and the friendly cleaner let us drop our bags off before returning later. Very comfortable and well equipped. The owner was also very quick in responding to a query that I had - excellent communication.

Great location! Very clean and well stocked. Only two flights of stairs to access and very secure. Manager was great to deal with, would definitely rent again!

Lovely location just down the road from Edinburgh castle. Apartment clean and spacious for four. Tea/coffee/milk provided for arrival. Good wifi. The entrance is a bit difficult to find first time and the alley and stairway are scruffy but the flat itself was nicely decorated throughout. The lounge is double glazed and is quiet. The bedrooms are not double glazed but you rarely get disturbed from traffic on the road just occasional noisy people. It can be a challenge to remember to lock/unlock the shared bathroom upstairs as it is located between the two bedrooms. One bath and one hand towel provided. We would have liked a towel for the downstairs bathroom too and change of towels after a few days. Walking distance to most areas although we only found grass market on our last night which has lots of bars and eateries instead of walking into the centre. Turn left before the castle and down the steps. Michelle the owner is lovely and welcoming. Overall we had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

Fantastic stay at the David Hume Residence. Was a little worried on arrival as stairwell needs a little decoration but the apartment was in immaculate condition. Beds very comfortable, all amenities you could ask for. Perfect location for a weekend stay, a little noisy in the front bedroom but didn't expect anything less from its position on the Royal Mile.

The Apartment is great, ideally situated on the royal mile so close to the castle, everything you could need was in the apartment could do with bigger towels maybe but thats the only complaint, Michelle the owner was great let us get in very early on day of arrival. Would defiantly recommend it and if was to go back would stay there again
