The Classic Marchmont Charm is a gorgeous, ground floor apartment that welcomes families in with its fresh, bright and airy styling. On your doorstep is the Meadows, with the centre a short 20 minute stroll away.
A massive hallway greets you upon entering this stunning property and will guide you through to the rest of the apartment. The brightness and spaciousness definitely impresses those on arrival.
Two bedrooms and a small box room (linked to the master bedroom) are available to sleep up to 5 guests. The master bedroom has a traditional feature fireplace, typical high ceilings and an elegant bay window; but a few stylistic, period features within the property. The adjoining box room contains a single bed, suitable for a child. The second bedroom is set up as a twin room.
Tuck in to a home cooked meal around the dining table, suitable for four guests, with the kitchen located, handily, just off this room. The dining area also benefits from a comfortable sofa and armchair and window seat for you to muse over views of the garden. From the kitchen you can step out to the garden, where you can feel free to use during your stay.
You need not miss your favourite programmes during your trip to Edinburgh with the TiVo recorder provided with this apartment, along with a DVD player, for your viewing needs.
The bathroom is equipped with a shower over a bath, to suit all bathing preferences.
This dwelling is located in a tranquil, family friendly area with many pretty cafes and boutique-like shops in close proximity. To travel further afield there are plenty of frequent bus services running a short distance away at Bruntsfield. The apartment has some golf clubs (including kids ones) for you if you fancy taking up a putting challenge on the Meadow's golf links. A major asset to this holiday let is the large, open spaces of the Meadows, which is the perfect location to spend a day in the sun with the family and a football or frisbee!

Local area The Classic Marchmont Charm apartment is ideally located in a calm residential area, with lovely cafes and shops just around the corner. The Marchmont and Bruntsfield areas surround Spottiswoode Road, giving you the best access to the city either by foot or by bus. The Meadows and Bruntsfield Links just minutes away from the front door ensures the best opportunities for a fresh air wander or somewhere to kick around a ball, have a picnic, or just to sit on some of the lovely benches in the park reading your favourite book.
For things to do in the area, we recommend Looking Glass Books which is an easy walking distance away on Simpson Loan by Middle Meadow Walk. This ‘booktique’ café boasts its own lively literary scene with regular events and author talks. Perfect for bookworms and coffee enthusiasts. Another wonderful place to have your afternoon pick-me-up is the Pastures, just around the corner on Marchmont Crescent. Considered the focal point for the local community the Friday nights, where the owners Jane and Stan stage a range of fun events such as ‘come-dine-with-us’ and ‘grub ‘n’ games’, feature a continental-style dinner and plenty of laughs (BYOB is encouraged, another rare perk).
For a bit of a wander about, the Morningside area is not too far and is yet another great location for some alternative shopping and some lovely cafes, lunch nooks and ice cream crannies. The city centre is not far away either, and Grassmarket and Princes Street are both a bus ride away, and offer a wide array of entertainment and some of the best in the arts and culinary scenes.
