Our response
Thank you very much for your review, I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the apartment and it's location. I've spoken with the owner regarding the issues you experienced during your stay, and hope that I can now help to answer your questions and put your mind at ease.
First and foremost, guest safety is absolutely paramount to all property owners and managers. All safety regulations are adhered to within this property, and the others owned by this owner. Yearly PAT tests are required in short assured tenancy properties, however are not necessary for holiday let homes. All appliances are perfectly safe, just as within your own home. Unfortunately, as with all homes, lights can fuse when at the end of their use, but this can be simply rectified by flicking the switch on the main fuse board.
This property has a combi boiler, and so hot water is available at all times, and further instructions are available in the property welcome pack in the lounge. The oven is in working condition, however, for safety reasons it is switched off between guests. There is a large switch on the wall above the cooker to turn it on for use. The owner has also informed me that there is enough crockery and cutlery for 5 guests.
Once again I'm sorry to hear about your concerns, but hope that I have now reassured you about the safety and suitability of the property. I would always encourage guests to contact their property manager or Reserve Apartments right away if they have any issues during their stay. This way, and problems can be quickly dealt with, without causing any further disruption.
I sincerely hope you had a lovely time in Edinburgh, and will visit again soon.
All the best,
Emma
