Apartment was very convenient to our family in the Stockbridge area and being right across the street from a large Tesco grocery store was a real plus.
It was very easy to get around the city by either foot or by bus or cab from this location.
Apartment was comfortable and warm and having TV cable and internet access was great. It was fairly clean but could use a good vacuuming. The washer worked fine for us and was very convenient.
We had supper at the Pierre Victore Restaurant one evening (few blocks from the apt) - would certainly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent, service very good, and the price reasonable - just under $100 (Canadian) for four people and a bottle of wine.

Thankyou very much for your feedback. We have had a few issues with the cleaner-who has sharpened her game...However, I will ensure that the vacuuming is done to required holiday let standard.

Me and my friend used the apartment for a week during the Fringe festival. Perhaps not the best location for the majority of the fringe ie the royal mile and pleasance courtyard. However, if you don't mind a 25 minute walk up the hill then it's fine. The apartment was generally grubby, and would benefit from a good scrub! The Internet connection was fast ad the virgin media tv was a bonus. A word of warning the entrance hallway looks like a car park stairwell, but the apartment is well decorated (a little dated). The kitchen has got everything you need (quite basic) but the washing machine was unusable.
Property manager response (24 Aug 2011)
Hi Katie, Many thanks for the feedback.I have instructed a deep steam clean of the apartment and replaced the mattress. I am investigating the washing machine. This apartment was only recently converted into a holiday let as the previous tenant moved out. It is my intention to keep it as a holiday let continually investing in it. In the meantime -I hope my entry is not misleading -I do state that it's a 3 star apartment and it is priced accordingly.(Although I appreciate Edinburgh is not a cheap place to stay during the Festival month.) I want to mention that the 25 minute walk would be to the Royal Mile and not to George Street or the east end of Princes Street. Also for clarification the entrance hallway is the communal stair and like most Edinburgh tenements it is not the "prettiest" feature. Unfortunately it requires all the owners in the stair to agree to paint it and we have not got that yet, however it is brushed and washed every week. Regards Craig
