Macallan whisky is known the world-over as the benchmark for quality. We hope our Macallan apartment offers our guests the same high quality too. It is located on the 4th floor (with lift) and conveniently situated in Edinburgh’s West End - ideally located for those arriving in Edinburgh by train (alight at Haymarket) or coming by air. The Dalry Gait development is based round a converted distillery (look for the landmark chimney!) and provides excellent modern accommodation. Excellent bus services run close to the apartment and you are with in easy walking distance of the west end of Princes Street.
There are a variety of good restaurants (including Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Italian, a Steakhouse a Bistro and Scottish) within a couple of minute’s walk of the apartment. Other local facilities include a large supermarket and plenty of smaller shops including a chemist, post office, dry cleaners and an internet café.
The apartment can be accessed by front building communal entrance, via the security entry system. Modern open-plan kitchen, dining room and living room has two leather sofas (one converts to a luxury sofa-bed) and home entertainment systems (television, video recorder and DVD player). The fully fitted and furnished kitchen has hob, oven, grill and microwave, cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils, and washer/dryer. There is also a glass door leading out to a private roof terrace with patio furniture. The apartment has Wifi internet access for guests bringing their laptops.
This apartment sleeps up to six adults comfortably, and up to twelve guests if booked with the Balvenie Apartment, which is located next door on the same floor.
The large master bedroom has a double bed, built in wardrobes and an en-suite shower room. There is also a glass door leading out to a private roof terrace with patio furniture. The second bedroom is set up as a twin room with two single beds and built in wardrobes. The luxury main bathroom with fine Italian ceramics has a bath and a separate shower unit.
We have a conveniently located office across the road from the apartments, where you can collect your keys. Check in times are between 3pm - 8pm and check out time is by 10am. Late checkouts can be arranged at an additional cost, please contact us to confirm availability. We can also offer complimentary luggage storage at our office.
