This stylish apartment is located in the most popular street within the Merchant City district and overlooks the famous Glasgow City Halls; home to the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. The apartment building is situated across from Merchant Square, a popular destination for tourists and locals who enjoy many Scottish and international restaurants, cafes and bars which have become synonymous with Merchant City life. Glasgow Central and Queen Street train stations are within short walking distance plus there are excellent multi-storey car parking facilities just 100m from the building.
Candleriggs Apartment has been decorated to a high standard with chic furnishings throughout the main rooms. The hallway leads to a large double bedroom with king-size bed and plenty of storage. The bedroom is located at the rear of the apartment overlooking the internal courtyard. The modern bathroom has a large bath with shower over. The living room has two leather sofas, digital TV/DVD and free wireless internet access. There is a dining table with four chairs. The modern, white kitchen includes a dishwasher, fridge, washing machine, and electric hob/oven as well as everything else you might need for home cooking.
The Merchant City is one of the most vibrant areas in Glasgow and is full of diverse and interesting buildings, cafés and restaurants. It is a preferred location to both professional and artistic residents with a number of small galleries and theatres in the area. It is also home to a number of high end boutique style shops and more famous international labels.
The annual Merchant City Festival and Celtic Connections attract a growing number of visitors each year who enjoy concerts, Scottish Ceilidh dances, comedy events and exhibitions at venues, including the Tron Theatre, the Old Fruitmarket, the Trades Hall, and St. Andrews in the Square.
We do not accept stag or hen parties unfortunately. A 25% deposit is payable on booking and the outstanding balance is due no later than 14 days before your arrival. Keys may be collected from our City Centre office at 59 James Watt Street, G2 8NF or we can offer a "meet and greet" service, whereby a member of the team will meet you at the apartment. We require identification and a security deposit of £100 which is fully refundable when you sign for the keys. Check-in time is between 3pm and 8pm, but we will always try to allow access earlier if requested subject to availability (Later check-in can be organised by prior arrangement and will be subject to an additional fee). Check-out is by 11am.
