This is a much-loved, very attractive city centre apartment, which we ourselves lived in for ten years. On the top floor of a typical Edinburgh tenement, it is four flights up, but its tremendous views of Arthur’s Seat, and the Pentland Hills, which are snow-capped in winter, make it well worth the climb.
The light and airy apartment is striking for its welcoming feel and many of our guests return year after year. Ideally situated for the Royal Mile, Princes Street, shops, cafes and restaurants, it is a stone’s throw from Edinburgh University in George Square.
We have been letting this property since 1998 and take great pride in making it a warm home from home for our guests. It is, therefore, very well equipped and although it is supremely good value, we have not comprised on the things that matter, like high quality linen/towels and a comfortable bed.
The accommodation has a homely ambience and has been graded 3 stars by the Scottish Tourist Board. It offers very good value for money given its central location. The open plan living room/dining area/kitchen has comfortable seating and dining facilities for a party of 4. The sitting area has a double sofa bed for larger parties and is equipped with TV with Freeview, radio, stereo system, video player and CD player. A good range of books on Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland are provided to help guests explore the locality to the full. Wireless internet access is also provided for guests use.
The kitchen is equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, grill, washing machine, fridge and plenty of cutlery, crockery and cookware for those wishing to prepare a meal at home.
Adjacent to the bedroom, there is a spacious white en-suite bathroom offering a bath with shower over, wash hand basin and toilet.
A deposit of 25% is payable on booking and the outstanding balance of the rental price must be received six weeks before your arrival date. For bookings made less than six weeks before your arrival date the whole rental price falls payable at the time of booking.
We provide a 'meet and greet' service, whereby we will meet you at the property to provide keys and show you the layout. Check in time is from 2pm and check out time is by 11am (unless prior arrangements have been made for a later departure time).
The apartment is on the south side of the city, approximately 10minutes walk from the Royal Mile and Princes Street. The Festival Theatre, Museum of Scotland and a wide selection of bars and restaurants are all on the doorstep. The apartment overlooks The Meadows, an attractive public park with tennis courts, and our guests have always found it an ideal base for exploring the city.
Other facilities Please note, this is a non-smoking apartment.
Parking Details On-street metered parking is available close to the apartment, or many city centre car parks are available.
There are excellent tennis courts on the Meadows immediately behind the apartment.
